I was surprised at the mixed reviews it is getting - but I do think that the emotions around 9-11 are still as strong and fresh as when the tragedy first happened. Many people choose to paint all Muslims with the wide brush of "terrorism" - it reminds me of what we did to Japanese-Americans during WWII. Bigotry, prejudice and hatred based on religion, race, etc...are topics which need to be discussed more openly, I think. I do hope more people read the book - it is a balanced presentation of both sides.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14332796775305098552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050790049545934556.post-10825847857406336522012-05-12T11:41:09.949-07:002012-05-12T11:41:09.949-07:00I risk a little alienation here, so please don'...I risk a little alienation here, so please don't take offense!

I just spent a week with Fox News watching family. They are part of the hate-mongering people who thought there shouldn't be a Muslim community center in downtown NY. . . so close to the WTC.

I wish I could make them read this. Perhaps they could see the absurdity? Or perhaps they would feel too comfortable in their already staunch and bigoted opinions. I can't wait to read this myself.
